So-called healthy food sections have Canola Oil - or Rapeseed Oil - listed as one of their ingredients. I’ve seen it explode in the UK, and it’s also more prevalent in Cape Town.
Just about every product has it. Shopping with my mother the other day at Sainsbury’s, I took at look at all the healthy ‘butters’. Every single one I took off the shelf had it.
I eat mainly plant-based (95%), and cook from scratch using whole foods, organic wherever possible (because this usually means more life energy as well as nutritional content). Occasionally, when I’m really busy, I start to think I’d like to pick out a couple of ‘healthy’ options from the vegan/vegetarian sections in the supermarkets, but virtually all of the products now have this wretched GM oil listed as a key ingredient, so I end up putting them straight back and going home with whole foods.
The trouble is that many people think canola oil okay because of the fact it’s so ubiquitous, and also because of the disinformation leaked by the food industry to confuse and even distract people from further enquiry. This article by Medical News Today is clear example of paid-for ‘science’ telling us that GM is safe, when it’s not.
If you tend to live predominantly ‘in your head’ (i.e. you have to research and verify everything through mountains of data), rather than listening to your body’s wisdom, you can be easily misled. Intuition and intellect have to be married, then a higher form of intelligence operates through you.
If you’ve stopped listening to your body’s primordial intelligence, then you’re tuned out, rather than tuned in, and will miss subtle but key warning signs.
Canola/Rapeseed has nothing to do with ‘health’
I trust Anthony William, the Medical Medium, because he’s totally neutral and he doesn’t care about upsetting the bogus, industrialised food industry with its sponsored science. I’d rather trust him (even though he’s being directly attacked now) than the same corrupt industry that spawned Monsanto and Glyphosate and told us the latter was 100% safe when they knew it caused cancers.
“Canola oil is mostly GMO at this point in time. And regardless, canola oil creates a great deal of inflammation. It’s especially damaging to your digestive system, potentially scarring the linings of both your small and large intestines, and is a major cause of irritable bowel syndrome. Canola oil can feed viruses, bacteria, fungus, and mold. Beyond that, canola oil has an effect similar to battery acid on the inside of your arteries, creating significant vascular damage.” Medical Medium
“Canola oil was first created in the early 1970s as a natural oil, but in 1995, Monsanto created a genetically modified version of canola oil. As of 2005, 87 percent of canola grown in the U.S. was genetically modified, and by 2009, 90 percent of the Canadian crop was genetically engineered.”
Canola oil has become commonly used in restaurants as a replacement for unhealthy lard, cottonseed oil and corn oil – and as a cheaper, lower fat replacement for olive oil. Even in restaurants, they might say they are using “olive oil” but it could easily be a blend of various oils including canola.
Unfortunately, the bottom line for most restaurants and food companies is making a profit, so they use cheaper oils/goods because of this fact. Quality isn’t their top priority, clever advertising and marketing is — so it’s up to each of us to pay attention and cut out those foods which may be damaging our health.
The occasional intake of this oil probably won't do any harm. I’m talking about repeated use of it. Daily…. for weeks, months and years.

Counteracting the bad
Plain celery juice is wonderful for rebuilding hydrochloric acid and overall gut health. 16oz/500ml on an empty stomach each morning can start to turn around gut issues and calm an inflamed liver. Start with 8oz/250ml and work up.
Aloe water is incredibly anti-viral and anti-bacterial, it goes after harmful bacteria in the intestinal lining and lowers the build up of bad acids.
In addition to celery and aloe water, papaya is a phenomenal fruit as it soothes the nerves and is wonderful for anyone suffering from IBS, chronic gastritis, or any viral and/or neurological problems irritating your nerves and affecting the intestinal tract.
Wild blueberries, oranges, spinach, all varieties of lettuce, sprouts, sweet potatoes, fresh mint, ginger, and lemon water are all tremendous additions to any diet, and will help counteract the onslaught of cheaper, often toxic, ingredients that are making their way into your food baskets and onto your plates.
Who doesn’t love a cuppa?
Not black tea, or milky tea (sorry).
Peppermint and (root) ginger tea are two healing drinks you can incorporate daily, and as a yogi, I love to drink these as part of my own commitment to long lasting health and vitality. I love to have root ginger (grated) and lemon in the morning, and peppermint tea (from leaves) in the evening.
Tip: Use fresh leaves for your peppermint tea, and peel and grate the root ginger, don’t just use tea bags, they are not the same!

I did some research on sliced whole grain bread and was horrified to find all but one contained rapeseed oil. I don’t eat bread but my loved ones do, so if you have no independent bakeries around (sadly long gone where I live) then be ultra careful. Next time I’m in M&S I will be asking the baker if their bread too contains rapeseed oil. I was told about its carcinogenic properties back in the early 2000’s and I avoid it like the plague!
Whole Foods has carried canola oil from the start. They told me it was not GMO but I know they lie.. thats when I stopped trusting them. They are a sell out company, now more than ever. Go woke go broke
