Apologies… there is some sort of scraping noise as the mic may have been too close to the handpan! Weird! Ah well,, I may get there on a future “take” 😇

This is just lovely Jaime! I am a musician, love music. Where can I find one of these? It’s beautiful. What else do you play. Where can I learn?

Hi Glee, there are many handpan makers out there but you definitely want to invest in a quality one. I've written a couple of articles on the history and where to start on my substack. Here are the links but feel free to email me if you have questions! https://energytherapy.substack.com/p/the-healing-sounds-of-the-ethereal?utm_source=publication-search and https://energytherapy.substack.com/p/handpan-magic-listen-dream-explore?utm_source=publication-search (lots of great musicians and compositions here).

What a lovely gentle sound to awaken me this morning! It has the resonance of African beasts combined with the purity of wind chimes. Whatever that instrument is, congratulations on learning to play it so well! 🤗

What part of the UK are you in? I grew up in Hastings and Eastbourne in Sussex, my cousins are in London NW6, Kent and County Durham. I live in Ventura in Southern California but really miss my childhood in the Downs, Beachy Head and the Pirates Caves of Hastings. And decent fish and chips and a good cuppa!

Amazing, so great this resonated Barbara! I've been a DJ (many moons ago), but grew up playing piano... my instruments of choice are handpan, didgeridoo and guitar now. P.S As a perfectionist, the 'scraping' that has happened on this setting really bugs me but hopefully I can adjust the mic setting and audio setting properly to get a clean sound next time. :)
